About
Hi, I’m Jonathan Crozier, I write this blog, mentor other programmers and I’m the Head of Software Development at a successful local business.
I’m Jonathan Crozier, a software engineer from Northern Ireland who loves to learn about technology and share my knowledge with other like-minded individuals. My passion for learning reaches into every area of my life and motivates me to develop my skills further, to become the best version of myself and to help others do the same.
Experience
I have over 8 years of commercial application development experience, working with the latest frameworks and technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, REST APIs and WebSockets. I enjoy experimenting with innovative platforms such as Docker and scripting everything I can with tools such as AutoIt and Cake. I’m proficient in both creating software solutions from scratch and refactoring legacy code to improve its design and performance.
I have a great deal of experience with SQL Server Merge Replication and I use PowerShell and other scripting tools to automate repetitive DBA tasks and maximise efficiency. I assess the impact of database queries and conduct careful analysis of execution plans to identify and alleviate bottlenecks.
Over the course of my career I have gained extensive knowledge of the software localisation, retail and food processing domains. I liaise closely with clients and other stakeholders to gather key requirements and provide solutions which are best-suited to the sector, providing real value to the customer.
